Then there’s this from the 1976 election which brought the Parti Quebecois to power for the first time… This cartoon still brings a smile to my face. 🙂

Could this happen again? Remember the 180,000 or so Anglos who have deserted Quebec since 1976 … Little fuckers

Another famous one that still makes me laugh after all these years. The reference is to how Trudeau and nine of the ten Premiers – minus Levesque, of course – screwed Levesque and resulting in this screwing being referred to in Quebec history as the “night of the long knives.”
As Levesque opined ” … Once again Quebec finds itself alone …”:

Paranoia will destroy ya.

Could this happen again? This time the victim will be Marois who may be ousted as PQ leader as a result of our vote, upcoming on April 7th next. Hard liners in the PQ have consistently gotten rid of leaders – see Levesque, Boisclair and Parizeau, if he hadn’t resigned before getting kicked outt – rather than admit that the sovereignty option is what brings the party down at the polls, not the leaders.

Bourassa, arguably the most hated politician in Quebec during the latter 1970’s and the early 80’s is back…the opportunist par excellence
