Ok. What’s going on? I’ll tell you. Almost 310,000 COVID-related deaths in the United States, an economy in shambles with 880,000 people filing for unemployment during the past week alone, deep divisions amongst Americans, all this plus an apparently extremely concerning cyber hack attributed to Russia which, according to pundits, represents a serious threat to U.S. national security. The American nuclear infrastructure was hacked into although officials say that no damage was done.
And what does the moron-in-chief do during this historic period of doom, gloom, violence, death, desperation, outright carnage and the uncertainty rocking the United States? Well, let’s start with his words and actions related to the recent presidential election on November 3rd, approximately six weeks ago, which he has almost 35% of Americans including around 118 sitting Republicans in Congress believing that the fix is in, that the election was rigged and stolen from him. To test this case, he has brought no less than forty law suits to the courts, including two to the Supreme Court, the highest court in the land, alleging election related fraud with basically all of these suits being tossed out for lack of evidence.
A simple and clear refutation of the president came a week ago Friday from a Trump appointee, when Judge Stephanos Bibas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit wrote a unanimous opinion rejecting the president’s request for an emergency injunction to overturn the certification of Pennsylvania’s election results.“‘Free and fair elections are the lifeblood of our democracy’, Bibas wrote. “‘Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here.’”In a previous case argued in court, the judge asked a Trump lawyer if there were any Republican poll watchers at a certain location where mail-in ballots were being counted. The response: There were a non-zero number of poll watchers present. Non-zero?? Give me a fucking break.
“Trump laid the groundwork for claiming a “rigged” election, as he often termed it, warning of widespread fraud. Former chief of staff John F. Kelly told others that Trump was “getting his excuse ready for when he loses the election,” according to a person who heard his comments”. He of course couldn’t have blamed himself for losing to Biden, who, he had claimed on more than one occasion on the campaign trail, was the absolute worst presidential candidate ever to stand for election in American history. Taking responsibility is something just not in the make-up of this monstrosity of a narcissist.
In addition, he prepared the way for his claims of election fraud and theft during the summer while campaigning for the presidency. He constantly attacked mail-in ballots as being an invitation for widespread cheating to go on, and in so doing he was consciously encouraging that ignorant blob of humanity which still supports him to vote in person on Election Day. And so that is what they did, risking their health in the face of COVID, a once-in-a-century pandemic. On the other hand, there were sane people, in large part Democrats, who decided not to risk falling ill and thus decided to vote by mail.
When Trump contends that they were getting ready to celebrate a victory in the early hours of the morning of Wednesday, December 4th, less than four hours after the last polls had closed in the western part of the country, he ain’t lying, for once. But when he woke up in the morning after a few hours of sleep, presumably, things had changed and it looked like Biden was on the path to winning the coveted office of Chief Executive of the United States of America. This situation had evolved as the mail-in ballots began to be counted and results came rushing in which pushed Biden, eventually, over the top with 306 Electoral college votes compared to Trump’s total of 232, clearly a landslide win.
So regardless of the whiney piece of shit president’s protestations to the contrary, there has been no credible evidence to prove that widespread rigging of the election had occurred. I heard him say, just the other day, that the evidence exists but that the courts didn’t have the “courage” to rule in his favour.
As for the pandemic which has killed at least 3,000 Americans every day over the last week or so, we wouldn’t think that anything untoward is happening if we observed Trump’s behaviour since his election loss, and even before that, it can reasonably be argued. He has tried to take credit for the development of a vaccine at warp speed and to be fair, he does deserve at least a modicum degree of tribute for this. However, that’s as far as it goes. He continues to flaunt CDC (Centres for Disease Control) guidelines by walking around maskless and holding super spreader Christmas and Chanukah parties at the White House with the vast majority of attendees at these affairs aping the president by not wearing masks and not social distancing. Way to go, Donnie, way to model appropriate behaviour in the teeth of this deadly scourge.
Vice President Mike Pence rolled up his sleeve yesterday, on live television, and got vaccinated against COVID and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi along with Mrs. Pence and a few other politicos also got vaccinated but not live. Where was Donnie at this time? Nowhere to be seen. Once again absent without leave my friends.
At one of his rallies, a Trump supporter was asked something along the lines of if the president wore a mask and told people to put it on, would she do that? Yes, she answered. However, Trump, for some unfathomable reason, has decided that mask-wearing is a sign of weakness and his supporters, many of whom are amongst the seventy-four million who voted for him on November 3rd, follow in his wake and carry on in the same way as their fearless leader, which leads to an increase in the numbers of deaths and hospitalizations. It is a scientific fact that wearing masks can save lives but that seems to just roll off the president like water off a duck’s back.
Nor has the moron-in-chief played a role of any kind in trying to assist Americans who have lost jobs and businesses in record numbers since the pandemic struck for real last winter. Holy shit. It’s been almost a year believe it or not. While Democrats and Republicans continue to bicker about both the content of the package as well as about the amount of money involved in this most necessary stimulus package, record numbers of people have been evicted from their homes as well as having trouble putting food on the table. Americans are in need, man, and many through no fault of their own. Wake up and do something instead of just moping around and feeling sorry for yourself.
As well we have this Russian cyber hack with which we are just beginning to familiarize ourselves, and, once again, Donnie has gone AWOL. He has not said anything to Putin, the Russian president, same as he did a few months ago when it surfaced that Russia had been offering and paying bounties to the Taliban for killing American soldiers. Should we expect any more from a person who allegedly referred to soldiers as “losers” and “suckers” and couldn’t understand why they voluntarily enlisted when there was no benefit for them ensuing from that enlistment? He obviously has no understanding that these people have chosen to put their lives on the line in the name of freedom. This is not the place to get involved in a philosophical discussion about the rights and wrongs of putting one’s life on the line supposedly in the defence of freedom; suffice to say that each of these volunteers had decided for him/herself to do this, regardless of the merits of taking such an action.
That’s about all except to say to the moron-in-chief this: you are an entitled, useless human being who has done the United States and the rest of the world much harm and very little good as far as I can tell. Hopefully, you and your minions including your sons and daughter will be prosecuted in state courts once you’re officially a private citizen once again and that you will all end up in prison for a good long time where you absolutely belong.Happy holidays.Peace out, my friend.
