JuicyLesson 191: A Bit About the Canadiens … A Youthful Joe Cocker Gets High With a Little Help From His Friends … Incredibly, These Two Sisters Murdered Their Mother …

They were teens at the time. They were accused of plying their mother with vodka and pills so as to make her drowning – which the two daughters had planned out in meticulous detail “with a little help from their friends” – look like a bath tub mishap.

These two kids ended up getting ten year sentences, serving less than three. What kind of justice is that?

The video runs just under three (3) minutes.

The Habs tying goal by Thomas Plekanec after only 19 seconds of having fallen behind the Lightning last Wednesday could be pivotal in the Canadiens playoff run, just beginning, especially given the fact that the Habs were able to get the overtime winner – potted by newly-acquired Dale Weise who scored his first NHL playoff goal late in the first overtime period – to beat the Bolts. Weise, obtained from the Canucks in a late-season deal for Raphael Diaz, took a pass from Daniel Briere from behind the net and beat Lightning goalie, Anders Lindback, with a neat little one-timer from the slot.

Lindback had a much busier night than his counterpart, Price in the Montreal net, having to deal with 44 shots, stopping 39, for a save percentage of .886, shabby in its own right.

That win gave Montreal a 1-0 lead in the best of seven quarter-final Stanley Cup playoff series vs. Tampa with Game 2 scheduled for tonight, again in Florida. The series then shifts to the Centre Bell for Games 3 & 4 scheduled for Sunday and next Tuesday.

Carey Price did not enjoy his finest hour on Wednesday in Tampa, but he did get stronger as the game wore on. As it stands, he allowed four goals on twenty-five shots, a save percentage of a mere .840 well below the goalie’s seasonal save percentage of .927. He is likely to recover quickly which will end this series in five – or possibly six – games.

Have a great weekend.

May post something tomorrow or may not.

See you Sunday.

Peace.
