JuicyLesson 169: Fear and Loathing … Threatened by Chad Levitt

I have been forced to take down my original JL for Monday, March 24, 2014. I hereby retract its contents.

The following is a transcript of the Facebook message I received from Mr. Levitt. Please note that I am presently taking some legal advice of my own which may result in my re-posting JL 169 at some time in future.

Hi Jerry;

Firstly, I want you to know that I hope you are well. I really only wish you the very best and am sorry to see you struggling with whatever it is you were bothered by.

I am very sorry for any “ill will” you may feel towards my family. While I may have been a brat back then, I have changed my ways. I graduated from Law School at the University of Ottawa and am in business for myself.

If you don’t mind, I would appreciate you retracting your last post about my family and I. I honestly am not sure what it is all about but if you do not remove your last post (i.e. Lesson 169) I will have no other choice but to institute legal proceedings against you for defamation of character and hold you liable for any damages prescribed by law. I have captured a copy of your post and will keep it on file until it is removed.

Again, I wish you only the very best and hope you can find happiness.

Sincerely,
Chad Levitt

My Response:
It’s too bad you feel you have to proceed that way Chad. I will publish this instead of today’s post, as well as retracting yesterday’s. I hope you feel this is satisfactory. One more thing if you had paid attention in law class you would know the difference between slander and libel which you apparently do not.

Anyway, that’s it.

Peace.

Hey Jordan. I heard from your sister – she was one of the students who wrote such glowing things about me while I was in hospital. Anyway, she said that you were getting it together. I hope so. You always tried your best, Jordan, which is one of the reasons I have always respected you.
      Take care.
      Jerry

How about if you take some pride in having moulded these ex-students into the professionals I see writing back. These so called “spoiled brats”seem quite accomplished now 🙂

    “Come on people now
    Smile on your brother
    Everybody get together
    Try to love one another
Right now”. The young bloods – heard this on the way home today.
